As the founder of ProsInComms, Kathy has more than 20 years of communications experience in the tech industry. Her expertise in media relations has landed clients in top tier publications, resulted in clients attracting new business leads, funding, successful exits, and increased market share.
Working as a solo practitioner or bringing together a collaborative team of experienced independent communications consultants to support larger accounts, ProsInComms provides clients with the ideal blend of senior talent that flawlessly executes successful PR campaigns.
Prior to starting ProsInComms in 2008, Kathy was responsible for global media relations at IBM. In this cross-company role, she secured media coverage, led M&A communications activities, ghostwrote books published by Pearson, hired and managed external agencies, and collaborated with marketing, analyst relations, internal communications, and executive communications teams on global launches and campaigns.
Before IBM, Kathy led U.S. and European PR and communications for network software provider Concord Communications (acquired by CA). Prior to Concord Communications, she was an account director at Weber Shandwick, working closely with start-ups and enterprise tech companies.Â
Kathy has earned certifications from HubSpot Academy in social media, inbound marketing, content marketing, and email marketing. She has also earned certifications from SEM Rush Academy in Technical SEO and SEO Keyword Research. Her ability to fuse earned, owned and paid media channels helps B2B companies effectively reach targeted audiences as well as engage and convert qualified customers.
